What is S.A.C.H? S.A.C.H. stands for “San Antonio Christian Homeschoolers”. SACH is an organization designed to provide support to families educating their children at home primarily in southwest San Antonio, TX. What is our PURPOSE? The purpose of S.A.C.H. is first, to honor the Lord Jesus Christ, for it is by His grace that He has called and empowered us to teach our children. Additionally, we also hope to: encourage parents in their God-given responsibility of educating their children, to promote fellowship and friendship with one another through academic and social activities, to promote and share information regarding Christian homeschooling as a positive educational alternative, and to remain aware of local, state, and national issues affecting the rights of parents to direct the education and upbringing of their children.
What is our MISSION STATEMENT? The mission of S.A.C.H. is to provide support, encouragement, and educational enrichment activities to families that are training and educating their children at home in the discipline and instruction of the Lord and to be used by God to minister to those around us as we walk in faith and obedience to our Lord Jesus Christ.
What is our EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY? We believe that with parents rests the sole responsibility for the care, training, and education of their children (Deuteronomy 6:4-9). S.A.C.H. defines a home educating family as one who has chosen to educate their children at home with the parents as the final authority over curriculum and education principles. We believe parents who have chosen this educational alternative, are accountable to discharge these duties in an honorable, responsible and serious manner to the attaining of educational excellence and good citizenship.
