OUR STATEMENT OF FAITH |
|
In concept and in practice, WE BELIEVE: |
|
1. The Bible is the inspired, and complete authoritative Word of God. (Isaiah 4:8, II Timothy 3:16) |
|
2. In one eternally existent triune God - God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. (Gen. 1:1; John 10:30, 37-38) |
|
3. That we are all sinners, separated from God,
but that through our repentance and acceptance of Jesus Christ as Lord,
we are born again of the Holy Spirit and receive the gift of Salvation. (John 1:12) |
|
4. In the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, His virgin birth,
sinless life, atoning death as penalty for our sins, bodily resurrection,
ascension into heaven, personal return in power and glory,
and in power of the Holy Spirit that indwells and guides believers in godly living and service. (Matthew 1:23; John 11:25-26; I Corinthians 3:16) |
|
5. That children are a gift from the Lord and parents have the authority
and responsibility to discipline, nurture, train and educate their own children. (Deuteronomy 11:19; Psalms 127:3-5) |
What is our PURPOSE?
The purpose of SACH is first, to honor the Lord Jesus Christ, for it is by His
grace that He has called and empowered us to teach our children.
Additionally, we also hope to: encourage parents in their God-given
responsibility of educating their children, to promote fellowship and friendship
with one another through academic and social activities, to promote and share
information regarding Christian homeschooling as a positive educational
alternative, and to remain aware of local, state and national issues affecting
the rights of parents to direct the education and up bringing of their children. |
MISSION STATEMENT?
The mission of SACH is to provide support, encouragement, and educational
enrichment activities to families that are training and educating their children
at home in the discipline and instruction of the Lord and to be used by God to
minister to those around us as we walk in faith and obedience to our Lord Jesus
Christ. |
EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY?
We believe that with parents rests the sole responsibility for the care,
training, and education of their children (Deuteronomy 6:4-9). SACH defines a
home educating family as one who has chosen to educate their children at home
with the parents as the final authority over curriculum and education
principles. We believe parents who have chosen this educational
alternative, are accountable to discharge these duties in an honorable,
responsible and serious manner to the attaining of educational excellence and
good citizenship. |
